Sending out a special shout out to Loran and Pam Mogensen, my daughter Katie and to the MSRA costume contest judges who helped to make this event fun for all who attended. Wishing our members a safe and fun Halloween!
And from all of us in MSRA: Renee, you have been the coordinator of this event for the past several years.  Thank you for all that you have done to make this event one that our members really enjoy and look forward too!

9/27/17 – MSRA FALL FOLIAGE PICNIC
WOW!! What a large turnout on a beautiful day for the MSRA Fall Foliage picnic! The COY nominees were parked by Porky’s for all to view, the gardens were beautiful, and it was truly a MSRA Friends+Food+Fun+Fellowship. As of this posting I do not have the final total to share with you, however I was told though the day was in the 90’s the attendance was really good and all were served a delicious lunch by Tinucci’s. Thank you to Tom Vollbrecht Sr., Tom Vollbrecht, Jr., Ted Jacobson, Wally Burchill and their entire committee for another fabulous event!
(A special shout-out Thank You to Andrew Gorrell and Lynn Michels for sharing their photos)

9/9/17– MSRA FALL CAMPOUT and VOTING EVENT
From Dale Sohlstrom: The 2017 Fall Campout is now history, and with it comes the end of our 2 year run in Brainerd. The Northern Tin did an outstanding job organizing this event the last 2 years, and that was evident by the great turnout of MSRA members with their hot rods and campers. The Brainerd crew kept us busy all weekend long, and in order to be able to be this busy we needed food, and that was taken care of in style as well. Friday night’s burger and brat feed was great, and the catered meal on Saturday night was tough to beat. If you were bored at the campout, I feel badly for you. There were so many things to do that we couldn’t get all of it in in two days! There were enough activities to keep you busy for 4 days. My heartfelt thanks go out to Merle and Mickey Gallant, and all the rest of the good folks in the Northern Tin. You guys all did a fantastic job!
(A special shout-out Thank You to Dale Sohlstrom, Stacy Vollbrecht, and Deb  DeMars for sharing their photos)

4/3/17 – MSRA at TOPPER’S, Fargo, ND – April 1 -2nd
From Dale Sohlstrom, MSRA Outstate Rep: We had a great time at the Toppers again this year. Two of our MSRA members drove their street rods to Fargo and entered them in the show. Jerry Forness drove his ’47 Ford convertible, and Ken Ingram drove his ’37 Buick and pulling a matching custom trailer. Both guys, from the southern suburbs of the Twin Cities, had more than 250 miles driven to get to Fargo. It’s the stuff adventures are made from. Also in the MSRA display was the 2016 Custom of the Year, Lon Burris wth his ’49 Chev convertible; Jerry Forness brought his  ’47 Ford convertible, Eugene Vik showed his ’54 Mercury 2door hardtop, and Oscar Swenson displayed a ’50 Ford Coupe. A special thank you to these five guys and their cars – they made a beautiful display for MSRA.

Thank you to the members who volunteered at the MSRA booth to pitch – discuss – or answer questions about  the Scholarship Foundation, the Legislative Committee, and of course, Back to the 50’s.
