Hi to the membership: I am currently serving as your Vice-President. I have served 4 years as a board of director, 3 years as your secretary and serving my 4th year as your Vice-President. My husband and I served 12 years as your membership directors and recently retired from that position. Both our adult children are proud members of MSRA. I have served as a liaison in many capacities over the years. Many of the positions have been interesting and by far my favorites have been the Worker’s Recognition Dinner, the Halloween party and working gates at Back to the 50’s. I have to say the Swap Meet has been the most challenging. So many swappers to get into the swap area in a very short period of time. Being on the board has been rewarding and challenging. I am so grateful for all the friendships I have developed over the years working with so many wonderful volunteers. As a dedicated volunteer and one of the passionate leaders of this association, I am excited to continue the great efforts that the original 12 Charter members and others gave to Jerry Johnson in support of his dream to start this association we call MSRA. 2017 is MSRA’s 50th Anniversary as a car club and I am so humbled to be a part of serving this great association. Our core values of family, friends, fellowship and food have remained constant throughout the years. One of the greatest gifts of life is friendship and I believe every member has experienced the gift of a new friendship over the past 50 years. As I serve my final year on the board, I want to mentor those who will take on the duties and responsibilities that I have been involved with. The younger generation is our future and I look forward to the younger members getting actively involved in their club. May this association grow and flourish for years to come. Thank you for the opportunity to serve you, the members. Let’s make 2017 a great tribute to our 50 years.
