11/10/18 – FALL GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING!
The November Fall Membership Meeting was held on 11/10/18. It was an evening of shopping with lots merchandise – hmmm, Christmas gifts – chatting with friends, making new friends, and of course – the much anticipated Board nominee’s speeches.
Just prior to Paul Swanson calling the membership meeting to order, Joe Karpowicz spoke to the membership about two very special flags he brought to the meeting for our use and to display: a service flag presented at his father Vincent Karpowicz’s military funeral, and one which belonged to Sue’s father Roy Lindvall.
Thank you to Loran Mogensen and Joe Karpowicz for preparing the meeting, the MSRA committees who set up their tables, and to the approximately 150+ members who attended.

4/18/18 MSRA at PRIME STEEL CAR SHOW, Grand Forks, ND April 14-15th
From Dale Sohlstrom: MSRA had a fantastic display at the Prime Steel show in Grand Forks this weekend. And I believe it was a “first”. This is the first display featuring all lady owned and driven hot rods! We had a four car display consisting of the street rods of Liz Kitzul (23 T bucket), Barb Balanyk, (34 Ford Pickup), Kathy Milne (38 Chevy), and Julie O’Hara Tronson (52 Plymouth Belvedere 2 door hardtop). Liz, Barb, and Kathy drove their rods to the show – all the way from Winnipeg and beyond. That includes Liz driving her T bucket! And Julie solos while pulling Plymouth behind in a trailer. All these gals are top notch in my book, and hardy street rodders!
The entire show was well executed, and the weather was great for an indoor show. Lots of great cars and I had a chance to meet with the wonderful members from North Dakota and Canada. We also had a chance to promote Back to the 50s, and judging by the response I got, many folks from the outstate will either be bringing their cars, or coming to see the cars!
4/10/18 – MSRA at TOPPERS, Fargo, ND – April 7-8th
From Dale Sohlstrom: MSRA had a great presence at the TOPPER’S show in Fargo this past weekend. We had a display of seven member’s vehicles, along with our information table. We answered lots of questions, got many folks all fired up for the huge Back to the 50s show, and generally had a fabulous time. Our thanks go out to all the Toppers for producing the show, which was the 60th anniversary! Also, thanks to those who brought their cars to be shown: Russ Peterson, Dan and Brenda Zeimet, Kari Myhre (and Gary), Barree Boettcher (and Roger), Art and Donna Pavlish, Terry Nystrom, and Darrick and Jane Nystrom. Terry and Darrick are father and son, so it was pretty cool to have both of them showing their hot rods! Fargo was a great time!
